The association Offener Hörsaal is comprised of a committee, students of the University of Basel, an academic advisory council, the Buddies and association members.

The core team (committee) takes care of the administration, secures the continued financial support of the project, acquires new participants and accompanies them through the project or their regular studies. They are also responsible for networking and publicity affairs and take care of a diversified general programme.

The advisory council of the Offener Hörsaal is made up of following people:

• Prof Dr theol. Andrea Bieler, Professor of Practical Theology at the University of Basel
• Prof Dr Kenny Cupers, Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Professor of Architectural History and Urban Studies at the University of Basel
• Prof Dr med. Bernice Simone Elger, Head of the Institute for Biomedical Ethics at the University of Basel
• Prof Dr Maarten J.F.M. Hoenen, former Vice Director of the University of Basel and Professor for Philosophy
• Prof Dr Georg Nöldeke, Professor for Microeconomic Theory at the University of Basel
• Prof Dr Heiko Schuldt, Professor for Computer Science at the University of Basel
• PD Dr Tenzin Wangmo, Senior Researcher at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics at the University of Basel
